IIIT-Bangalore is a new generation Graduate School focusing on all aspects of information technology. Started in September 1999, IIIT-Bangalore has the status of a University (conferred under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956), and is promoted by the Government of Karnataka and the IT industry.
